True Value Solar Chief Executive Suren Chandrajit has resigned from his position, and David King has replaced Dr Zhengrong Shi as Chief Executive of Suntech.
Dr Shi will now serve as Executive Chair of the Suntech Board and assumes the position of Chief Strategy Officer for the company, while Doug Roem replaces Mr Chandrajit as Chief Executive of True Value Solar.
Nigel Morris, Director of solar analysis and intelligence company SolarBusinessServices, says that the solar sector is a tumultuous place for those at the top of the market, particularly so for those presiding over large corporate structures and working with major investors.
Mr Morris – who is also the presenter of the Master Classes on solar, hosted by EcoGen Events – has commented on trends in solar company leadership, noting that reduced revenue streams can create immense pressure for companies but also great promise.
