The United Kingdom-manufactured Proven wind turbine range includes 2.5 kilowatt (kW), 6 kW and 15 kW models constructed from composite blade technology and long life corrosion resistant materials to survive wind speeds of up to 252 kilometres per hour.
The result of 25 years of research and development by the Proven Energy team, the turbines are ‘downwind’, which means that the wind does not hit the spring mounted blades face on. With the springs mounted on the head, the blades are able to cone out as the wind gets stronger, removing the need for a braking system that can cause power loss resulting in interrupted power supply. This feature also allows the turbines to adjust to changing wind directions faster and provide constant power output.
Once erected, no guy wires are necessary because the turbine stands on a tower that is solidly mounted onto a thick concrete base. This reduces the land area used by the turbine, making it ideal for both rural and urban environments.
In addition, roof mounting of the turbine is possible due to a special vibration absorbing base which causes no disturbance to the structure of the building.

Exclusively available through Conergy, over 2,000 Proven Energy turbines have been manufactured and installed worldwide.
