The new platform will be offered to all green operators across Australia and has been created to break down the barriers and open greener employment opportunities to everyone.

A wide range of skills are necessary to fulfil all requirements of a green industry, be it a cleaner, an accountant, tradesman or engineer. Greener jobs can also be found among operators who choose to operate more traditional product manufacturing and services in a more sustainable manner.

Greenseekers emphasises its ‘for everyone’ ideal, from those people strongly dedicated to making small changes everyday on their way to a cleaner more sustainable future.

Greenseekers anticipates the service will be valuable to niche industries like the current Australian renewable energy industry, which requires specialised accreditations.

There were discussions at ATRAA regarding a need to efficiently connect companies with large amounts of installations needing completion before rebate deadlines and accredited installers available to complete the work.

The site’s resume database will enable registered employers to search for accredited installers and to also advertise job vacancies or contracts to complete these works. The company has said that there was strong interest at ATRAA among accredited installers.

As the site is open to everyone, a self rating system has been offered to advertisers, enabling those searching the database to interpret the level of greenness of the opportunities offered, and the suitability for them. This is implemented through a small ‘Green Statement’ declared upon registering.
