Featuring 627 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 780 MW, it is capable of generating enough electricity to power 230,000 homes.
The wind farm covers an area of 400 square kilometres, which is twice the size of Dusseldorf, Germany and took just over 2 years to build.
Frank Mastiauz, CEO of E.ON Climate and Renewables, said that the completion of Roscoe was a major success for the company.
